UNIBEN Post-UTME and Direct Entry Form 2026/2027. The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has opened applications for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.
Eligible candidates who selected UNIBEN as their first-choice institution and scored at least 200 in the 2026 UTME can apply online from 5 June to 3 July 2026.
The screening exercise will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) between 27 July and 1 August 2026 at designated centres within the university’s Ugbowo Campus.

Eligibility Requirements
UTME Candidates
Applicants must:
- Choose UNIBEN as their first-choice institution through JAMB.
- Score at least 200 in the 2026 UTME.
- Possess the required O’Level qualifications for their chosen course.
Direct Entry Candidates
Direct Entry applicants who selected UNIBEN as their first-choice institution can also participate in the screening exercise.
O’Level Requirements
Candidates must possess at least five credit passes in WAEC, NECO, GCE O’Level or equivalent examinations obtained in not more than two sittings.
The required subjects must include:
- English Language
- Mathematics (where required for the chosen course)
- Other relevant subjects as specified for the programme
Applicants are advised to verify the specific subject requirements for their intended course before registration.
Application Fee
The screening fee is ₦2,000, excluding portal access charges.
Payment must be made online through the university’s application portal using Remita.
How to Apply
To complete the application:
- Visit the UNIBEN admission portal.
- Select the Post-UTME application option.
- Read the instructions carefully.
- Begin the application process.
- Enter your JAMB registration number, UTME score and password.
- Complete the online registration form.
- Pay the screening fee through Remita.
- Review all information carefully.
- Submit the application and print the acknowledgement slip.
Applicants should note that the university will not allow corrections after final submission.
Screening Schedule
The Post-UTME screening exercise will hold from Monday, 27 July to Saturday, 1 August 2026.
Candidates should return to the portal from 17 July 2026 to check:
- Screening date
- Venue
- Time of examination
Individual schedules will be generated online.
Documents Required for Screening
Candidates must bring:
- Acknowledgement Slip
- Screening Invitation Slip
These documents will be required for verification before entry into the examination venue.
Screening Rules
Candidates are expected to:
- Arrive at least one hour before their scheduled time.
- Follow all instructions issued by university officials.
- Avoid bringing prohibited items into the examination hall.
Mobile phones, calculators and other electronic devices are not permitted at the screening venue.
Important Notice
Candidates who complete payment after the application deadline will not be allowed to participate in the screening exercise.
Applicants are therefore encouraged to complete registration well before the closing date to avoid last-minute issues.
