UMYU Post-UTME/DE Screening 2025/2026; The management of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), Katsina invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME/Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise.
This exercise is for candidates who selected UMYU as their first choice in the 2025 UTME or Direct Entry application.
Eligibility Criteria
For UTME Candidates
- Candidates must have scored at least the minimum cut-off marks for their chosen programmes.

UMYU Approved Cut-Off Marks 2025/2026/ Approved 2025 Admission Requirements (Revised) - Only candidates with correct UTME subject combinations will be enabled for registration.
For Direct Entry Candidates
- Screening will be conducted online only.
- DE candidates are not required to appear physically for the aptitude test.
Candidates with Special Needs
- Candidates identified by JAMB as having special needs are exempted from the aptitude test.
- However, they must forward hard copies of their credentials to the Registrar’s Office.
Registration Schedule
- Opening Date: Friday, 29th August 2025
- Closing Date: Thursday, 25th September 2025
The exact date for the aptitude test/screening will be indicated on each candidate’s registration slip.
Required Documents for Online Application
Candidates are to upload the following documents during registration:
- UTME Candidates: 2025 JAMB Result Slip
DE Candidates: 2025 JAMB Registration Slip - O’ Level Result(s)
- Valid Identification Document (Indigene Letter, NIN Card, International Passport, etc.)
- Direct Entry Candidates: A’ Level Results (Diploma, IJMB, NCE, etc.)
Note: Candidates awaiting O’Level results can also apply.
Payment Information
- Screening fee: ₦2,000.00 only (inclusive of all charges)
- Payment should be made via the UMYU Post-UTME Portal.
Additional Instructions
- UTME candidates must bring along their payment slips to the aptitude test venue and will be required to submit hard copies of their credentials.
- Direct Entry candidates should forward hard copies of their credentials to the Registrar’s Office after completing online registration.
- All candidates are advised to check the university’s website regularly for updates on the screening exercise.
