UMYU 2nd Post-UTME Registration for 2025/2026 Session; The management of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina (UMYU) wishes to inform the general public that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted approval for the establishment of the following fifteen (15) new undergraduate programmes in the University:

- B.Sc. Physics with Electronics
- B.Sc. Applied Geophysics
- B.Sc. Information System
- B.Sc. Software Engineering
- B.Ed. Educational Management
- B.Ed. Guidance and Counselling
- B.A. Arabic Literary Study and Translation
- B.Sc. Food Science and Technology
Invitation for 2nd Post-UTME Screening (2025/2026 Session)
Candidates who wish to study any of the newly approved programmes are invited to register and participate in the 2nd Post-UTME Aptitude Test.
Similarly, candidates who missed the first Post-UTME test or wish to apply for the existing programmes of the University are also eligible to participate.
However, the following programmes are exempted from this exercise:
Agriculture, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Education & Computer Science, Environmental Management, International Relations, Law, Library and Information Science, Medicine & Surgery, and Microbiology.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have selected Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina as their first choice in the 2025 UTME.
- Candidates must have obtained the minimum cut-off mark prescribed for their chosen programmes.
- Only candidates who meet the UTME subject combinations and cut-off requirements will be eligible for registration.

Registration Details
- Registration Opens: Saturday, 11th October, 2025
- Registration Closes: Friday, 17th October, 2025
- Aptitude Test Date: Saturday, 18th October, 2025

Required Documents for Upload
Candidates are to upload scanned copies of the following during registration:
- 2025 UTME Result Slip
- O’Level Result(s)
- Means of Identification (Indigene Letter, National ID Card, or International Passport)
Note: Candidates awaiting O’Level results can also apply.
Mode of Payment
Eligible candidates are to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦2,000 (inclusive of all charges) through the payment options provided on the University’s website.
Candidates must come to the test venue with their payment slip as evidence of registration.
Special Notice
Candidates identified by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) as persons with special needs are exempted from the Post-UTME aptitude test. Such candidates are, however, required to submit hard copies of their credentials to the Office of the Registrar.
