Swedish Institute (SI) Scholarship for Women in STEM 2025-2026; The Swedish Institute (SI) is accepting applications for the Pioneering Women in STEM Scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year. This fully-funded scholarship is designed to support women pursuing full-time master’s studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields in Sweden.

- Full tuition fee coverage, paid directly to the Swedish university
- A monthly stipend of SEK 12,000 to support living expenses
- A one-time travel grant of SEK 15,000 for international travel

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must:
- Be female citizens of one of the eligible countries listed below
- Apply for a designated master’s programme beginning in the autumn semester
- Not be currently enrolled in a master’s programme at a Swedish university
- Not have previously received an SI scholarship or completed a degree at a Swedish university
- Not have lived in Sweden for more than two years prior to applying

Female citizens from the following countries are eligible:
- Bangladesh
- Indonesia
- Kenya
- Malaysia
- Nigeria
- Philippines
- Rwanda
- South Africa
- Thailand
- Vietnam
Applicants with dual citizenship must choose one eligible nationality. Those from ineligible countries should explore the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals or other opportunities in Sweden’s scholarship database.
Application Process
- Apply for a master’s programme via University Admissions.
- Once you have applied and meet the scholarship criteria, you will automatically be considered for the scholarship.
