In 2016, Temple University pioneered a nationwide welcome message from U.S. higher education to international students worldwide. Through the #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship, Temple University acknowledges and supports international students with a vision for enhancing intercultural understanding. As one of the initial nine universities committed to the #YouAreWelcomeHere initiative, Temple selects two first-year students annually to receive a renewable scholarship of $20,000.

Eligibility: To be considered for the Temple University #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a first-year international applicant, defined as an individual without U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
- Attend or have graduated from a secondary school outside the U.S.
- Demonstrate interest and personal initiative in activities involving intercultural learning and exchange.

How to Apply: Follow these three steps to apply for the scholarship:
- Apply for admission using the Common Application.
- Submit the #YouAreWelcomeHere application and corresponding essay or video to YAWH@temple.edu by February 1. If submitting a large video file, please share a link to the video.
- If awarded a scholarship, claim it by submitting an enrollment deposit by May 1.
