About Abertay University Scholarships
Abertay University offers scholarships for international students pursuing master’s and PhD degrees for the 2025-2026 academic year. The scholarship provides a £3,000 award, distributed in equal installments in January and April. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Abertay University Scholarships for International Students, applicants must:
- Language Requirement: Provide evidence of English proficiency if English is not the first language.
- Eligible Countries: All world countries.
- Degree Requirement: Be registered as a full-time student for the first postgraduate degree at Abertay University. Applicants holding a UK postgraduate degree are not eligible.
- Fee Status: Be classified as international (overseas) fee status by Abertay University.
- Admission Conditions: Meet all academic conditions attached to the offer of admission as a full-time student starting in September 2024 or January 2025.
- Academic Qualification: Have obtained the equivalent of a 2:1 UK Bachelor’s degree or above.
- Exclusions: The award is not available to currently registered postgraduate students or Abertay alumni.

- Sign up: Create a new account on the Abertay University application portal.
- New User: Select “new user” and fill in the required information.
- Upload Documents: Provide the necessary documents.
- Submit Application: Complete and submit the application.
- Notification:
- If you meet all eligibility criteria and are awarded the Abertay International Scholarship, you will be notified by email following your offer of study by July 1. Applications submitted after this date will be considered in the second round of scholarship awards by August 24.
