About the Canon Collins RMTF Scholarships 2024:

The Canon Collins Trust, in partnership with the Ros Moger and Terry Furlong group, invites applications for postgraduate studies in South Africa for the year 2025. This scholarship honors Ros Moger and Terry Furlong, inspirational educationalists from London. Since 2001, funds have been raised in their memory to support scholarships in their name.

The Canon Collins Trust, in collaboration with RMTF, seeks to support outstanding individuals committed to social justice in southern Africa, using postgraduate education as a tool to promote an open and just society.

Eligible Fields of Study:

Applicants can pursue studies in the following fields:

  • Justice (including Climate Justice, Law, Economics, and Politics)
  • Education policy and practice
  • Humanities (including Literature, History, Anthropology, and the Arts)

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • Be a national of, or have refugee status in, one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland, or Zambia.
  • Be normally resident in one of the above countries.
  • Possess a good first degree (minimum second class, upper division, or equivalent) or be about to graduate in the year of application.
  • Be studying or applying to study at a South African university.
