The Pre-degree program is structured to span two semesters (equivalent to one academic session) and will involve traditional face-to-face classroom lectures conducted at Rivers State University, Port Harcourt.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Prospective candidates seeking admission into the Pre-degree Programme must possess a minimum of five ‘O’ Level Credits obtained in one or two sittings. These credits should include English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant Science subjects. These qualifications must be acquired from SSCE/GCE examinations organized by WAEC and NECO or equivalent certificates.
Applicants interested in the Basic Medicine program should possess the required five ‘O’ Level Credits in a single sitting. Successful candidates will also be required to register and participate in the 2023/2024 JAMB/UTME with the relevant subjects’ combination for their chosen program.
METHOD OF ADMISSION:
Interested candidates should visit the Rivers State University website at www.ust.edu.ng and access the link for the 2023/2024 Pre-degree Programme Application. The application form should be completed online, and an application fee of N15,000 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) must be paid.
Applicants will need to present their SSCE/GCE/NECO certificates/result slips during the clearance and registration process.

The deadline for application submission is Friday, December 29, 2023.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR CLEARANCE AND REGISTRATION:
Upon the completion of the online application, applicants should bring the following documents to the Pre-degree Programme Office at RSU, Port Harcourt:
- Photocopy of the downloaded application form
- O level Result
- Age declaration
- Two (2) passport size photographs
- Local Government Area (LGA) Identification
- JAMB Registration Number
