Radboud University Master’s Scholarships in Theology 2024/2025 for International Students; Radboud University’s Faculty of Philosophy, Theology, and Religious Studies is offering three scholarships for the Master’s in Theology program, available in one-year (60 EC) and three-year (180 EC) formats.

The scholarship grants €10,500 per year for up to three years, contingent on maintaining good academic standing. This opportunity is geared towards students with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology or related disciplines.

Application Deadline:

Submit your application by 1st April 2024, for the program starting on 1st September.

Target Group: The program is particularly welcoming to applicants from diverse backgrounds, especially women and those aiming for an ecclesiastical career within the Catholic Church, to contribute to the cultural diversity and academic excellence of Radboud University.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated potential to contribute significantly to the faculty’s academic excellence.
  • Evaluation based on academic transcripts, writing samples, motivational letters, recommendation letters, and potentially a Skype interview.
  • Priority may be given to applicants showing societal contribution and internationalization efforts.

Scholarship Benefits:

  • The scholarship amount is €10,500.
  • For EER/EU students, this covers tuition (€2,530 for 2024-2025) and living expenses.

How to Apply:

  1. Apply for the Master’s Program:
    • Complete the application via Studielink for either the 1-year or 3-year Master’s in Theology program.
  2. Submit Required Documents by 1st April:
    • Letter of Motivation: Indicate your preferred Theology specialization.
    • Curriculum Vitae (CV): Detail your academic and professional background.
    • Recommendation Letters: Provide two letters from academic or professional referees.
    • Transcripts: Include transcripts from your previous studies.
    • Writing Sample/Essay: Submit a 2000-2500 word essay on a topic related to Theology.
    • Skype Interview: Be prepared for a possible interview as part of the selection process.
  3. Follow Up:
    • Ensure that your application for admission is processed to be considered for the scholarship.

Study Location: The scholarship program is conducted in the Netherlands at Radboud University.
