PUMS Postgraduate Admission Form 2025/2026. PAMO University of Medical Sciences (PUMS), Port Harcourt, has opened applications for admission into its full-time postgraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The programmes are coordinated by the School of Postgraduate Studies and are designed to strengthen research capacity, analytical thinking, and professional competence in medical and biomedical sciences. While academically demanding, the university provides structured supervision and institutional support to guide students through each stage of their studies.
Successful candidates may be admitted into Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s (MSc), or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes, depending on qualifications.

Admission Requirements
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
Applicants must:
- Possess a BMLS degree from a recognised university with Third Class
- Be registered with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)
Master’s Degree (MSc)
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least Second Class Lower
- Unclassified degree with a minimum overall grade of 50% (Grade C)
- PGD in a related field with a CGPA of at least 3.00 on a 5-point scale
- Fellowship of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (Medical Laboratory Science only)
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
Applicants must:
- Hold a relevant Master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale

MSc
- Minimum: 3 semesters
- Maximum: 5 semesters
PhD
- Minimum: 6 semesters
- Maximum: 9 semesters

Application Steps
- Complete the online form and select Proceed
- Access the applicant dashboard to finish all sections
- Pay the application fee using the provided account details and upload proof of payment
(Applications without payment proof will not be processed) - Submit the form online
- Print the application form and transcript request form
- Send the transcript request to your former institution
- Keep printed copies of all submitted documents

- Applicants should check their email regularly for updates
- Three referees are required; at least two must be academic staff not below Senior Lecturer
- MSc applicants must upload a one-page synopsis of their previous research
- PhD applicants must upload a research proposal of not more than five pages
