About Plateau State University
PLASU is a conventional university established by law and officially recognized by the National Universities Commission (NUC) on April 5, 2005, as the 24th state university and the 66th university in Nigeria. The permanent site is located in the Butura and Tarangol Axis of Bokkos Local Government Area, Plateau State. Qualifications and Experience Required
Professor
- Ph.D. or fellowship (for College of Medicine) with at least 12 years of teaching and research experience.
- Ability to conduct research independently and proven supervisory and administrative skills.
- Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable national and international journals.
- Should be on the rank of Reader/Associate Professor.
- Membership of a professional body is an advantage.
Associate Professor
- Ph.D. or fellowship with at least 10 years of teaching and research experience.
- Proven research, supervisory, and administrative capabilities.
- Should be on the rank of Senior Lecturer.
- Membership of a professional body is an advantage.
Senior Lecturer
- Ph.D. or fellowship with at least 7 years of teaching and research experience.
- Proven research, supervisory, and administrative capabilities.
- Should be on the rank of Lecturer I.
- Membership of a professional body is an advantage.
Lecturer I
- Master’s Degree, MBBS, B. Pharm, or Pharm D. with at least 5 years of experience.
- Should be on the rank of Lecturer II.
- Ph.D. and membership of a professional body are advantages.
Lecturer II
- Master’s Degree with at least 3 years of teaching/research experience.

Assistant Lecturer
