About the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Research Scholarship:
The Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Program is an established national initiative funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, and managed by the Irish Research Council. It is a unique program in the Irish research landscape, complementing other channels for funded postgraduate education in Ireland.

Eligibility Requirements:
- No age limit for applicants.
- Applicants must be affiliated with an eligible Irish higher education institution or research-performing organization.
- Applications accepted in Irish or English. An English translation must accompany Irish language applications.
- Applicants must not have had two previous unsuccessful applications to the relevant program.
- The Irish Research Council does not fund research in the following areas:
- Human cloning for reproductive purposes.
- Genetic modification of human beings with heritable changes (except cancer treatment of the gonads).
- Creation of human embryos solely for research or stem cell procurement.
