The School of Health Information Management (SHIM) at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, is now accepting applications for admission into its National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Who Can Apply
National Diploma (ND) Applicants
To be eligible for the ND programme, candidates must:
- Sit for the 2025 UTME
- Meet the UTME cut-off for Monotechnics and Polytechnics as set by JAMB
- Have five (5) O’Level credits in:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
(Obtained from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings)
- Choose SHIM, OAUTHC as either first or second choice in UTME and be willing to change to first choice if offered admission
Higher National Diploma (HND) Applicants
To qualify for the HND programme, candidates must:
- Possess the same O’Level requirements as listed for ND
- Hold a National Diploma in Health Information Management with at least Lower Credit
- Have completed a one-year industrial attachment in a recognised health institution
- Possess a valid professional practising licence
Exam and Screening Process
ND Applicants
The screening process includes both written and oral tests. Written subjects will include:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- General Paper
HND Applicants
Candidates will be assessed on:
- English Language
- Professional Courses
- General Paper
How to Apply
- ND Applicants: Pay a non-refundable fee of ₦2,000
- HND Applicants: Pay a non-refundable fee of ₦8,000
- Payment should be made via REMITA to OAUTHC, Ile-Ife
After making the payment, collect the application form in person from:

Submit completed forms to the school on or before Tuesday, 23 September 2025.
Screening Dates
All applicants (ND and HND) will undergo screening on:
- Wednesday, 24 September 2025
- Thursday, 25 September 2025
- Time: 9:00 AM daily
- Venue: SHIM Premises, OAUTHC, Ile-Ife
