OAUTHC 2025/2026 Admission: Higher Diploma in Community Health. The Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, is now accepting applications into its School of Community Health for the Higher Diploma in Community Health programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The programme will commence in September 2025 and may run for one or two years, depending on your qualifications. Upon completion, successful candidates will be awarded a Higher Diploma in Community Health.
Entry Requirements
General Requirements
All applicants must have five (5) O-Level credits, including:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
These must be obtained from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings. Please note: NABTEB cannot be combined with WAEC or NECO.
For One-Year Programme
Applicants must meet all of the following conditions:
- Be a Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW)
- Hold a First Degree or HND in Community Health Science, Health Education, or Public Health
- Be registered with the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN)
- Hold a valid practising licence
For Two-Year Programme
Applicants must:
- Possess a Diploma in Community Health
or - Hold a CHEW Certificate with a minimum of five (5) years post-qualification experience
- Be registered with CHPRBN and hold a valid practising licence
Selection Process
Candidates will undergo:
- A written entrance examination on Monday, 21 July 2025
- An oral interview on Tuesday, 22 July 2025
Applicants are required to present the original copies of all credentials, including their valid practising licence, during the examination.
You must also bring two printed copies of your completed application slip.

- Select the appropriate track:
- CHEW + BSc/HND for the one-year programme
- CHEW only for the two-year programme
- Make a non-refundable payment of ₦15,000 via Remita to the designated college account
