NSUK Pre-Degree and IJMB Admission for 2026/2027 Academic Session; Nasarawa State University has commenced the online sale of admission forms for its Pre-Degree and IJMB programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The admission exercise is being coordinated by the School of Preliminary and Remedial Studies. Interested candidates are advised to carefully review the entry requirements for each programme before starting the online application process, as the programmes have different subject requirements.
The university stated that the application process will close on 30 July 2026.
NSUK IJMB Programme
The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) programme is open to candidates who possess at least five O’Level credit passes.
The required credits must include:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Three other subjects relevant to the candidate’s intended course of study
Candidates may combine results from not more than two sittings.
The IJMB programme runs for one academic year, covering a period of 12 months. Successful candidates can gain Direct Entry admission into 200 Level at Nasarawa State University and other universities in Nigeria.
Applicants are advised to check the NSUK official website for approved subject combinations and related undergraduate courses.
NSUK Preliminary Science Programme
Candidates applying for the Preliminary Science programme must possess at least five O’Level credits.
The required subjects include:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
The programme is designed to prepare candidates for admission into science-related undergraduate courses.
Applicants who successfully complete the programme must also pass the UTME examination, meet the approved National Minimum Points, and satisfy the Nasarawa State University cut-off mark before gaining admission into degree programmes.
NSUK One-Year Remedial French Programme
The School of Preliminary and Remedial Studies also offers a one-year Remedial French programme for beginners interested in pursuing a career in French studies.
Candidates applying for this programme are expected to remedy deficiencies in their O’Level results and obtain five credit passes, including:
- Mathematics
- English Language
- French
Applicants must also score the approved UTME cut-off mark before they can qualify for admission into the N100 French degree programme.
How to Apply for NSUK Pre-Degree and IJMB Admission
Interested candidates are required to complete the online application form through the NSUK preliminary studies application portal.
The application form becomes accessible after payment of a non-refundable fee of ₦10,000, along with an additional ₦315 bank charge through the CBS Nasarawa State University payment platform.
Applicants are advised to provide accurate information during registration, as mistakes or incorrect details may delay the processing of applications.
NSUK Pre-Degree and IJMB Application Deadline
Nasarawa State University stated that sales of forms for the 2026/2027 academic session will officially close on 30 July 2026.
