Eligibility for NWU Kano Summer Course

The summer course programme is open to:

  • Spillover I and II students
  • Final year students
  • Students currently on probation
  • Students who were previously placed on probation

This means the programme is not available to all students of the University, but only to the categories listed above.

Registration Dates for Summer Courses

Registration for the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic session will begin on Monday, 23 March 2026, and close on Sunday, 29 March 2026.

Students who intend to participate must complete their registration within this limited timeframe, as the schedule is short and strictly defined.

Summer Course Fees and Payment Details

All interested students are required to make payment online before proceeding with registration. The approved fees are as follows:

  • Central registration fee: N20,000
  • Course registration fee: N5,000 per course

After completing payment, each student must finalize their registration and download the registration form.

Submission of Registration Form and Screening

Students are required to print the completed registration form and attach the payment receipt. These documents must then be submitted to their respective Faculty for screening.

It is important to note that payment alone does not complete the process. Submission of both the form and receipt to the Faculty is mandatory.

Rules Guiding the Summer Session

The University has set clear rules for the summer session:

  • Students are not allowed to register courses from two different semesters in one summer session
  • Only courses from a single semester are permitted per session
  • All payments made are non-refundable
