NNPC SNEPCo Postgraduate Scholarship 2026

NNPC SNEPCo Postgraduate Scholarship 2026. For many Nigerian graduates, the biggest obstacle to earning an international master’s degree is not admission—it’s funding. Tuition fees, visa costs, airfare, accommodation, and living expenses can quickly make studying abroad unaffordable.

The NNPC SNEPCo Postgraduate Scholarship 2026 seeks to remove those barriers by providing qualified Nigerian graduates with a fully funded opportunity to pursue selected master’s degrees in the United Kingdom.

Sponsored by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) and Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), the scholarship supports students pursuing postgraduate programmes that align with the future needs of the energy, engineering, technology, and petroleum sectors.

Successful candidates receive funding for tuition, international travel, and living expenses while studying at leading UK universities.

If you are a Nigerian graduate looking for a fully funded master’s scholarship abroad, this opportunity deserves serious consideration.

About the NNPC SNEPCo Postgraduate Scholarship

The NNPC SNEPCo Postgraduate Scholarship is an annual educational development initiative established to strengthen Nigeria’s human capital in critical sectors such as engineering, petroleum studies, geosciences, artificial intelligence, robotics, and data science.

The programme is funded by Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), acting on behalf of its co-venture partners:

  • Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC)
  • Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria
  • Nigerian Agip Exploration Company Limited

The objective is to support talented Nigerian graduates in acquiring advanced international training and expertise that can contribute to the country’s long-term economic and technological development.

For the 2026 academic session, scholarships will be awarded for selected one-year master’s programmes at two leading UK universities: the University of Aberdeen and Newcastle University.

Why This Scholarship Matters

Unlike many international scholarships that are open globally and attract tens of thousands of applicants, the NNPC SNEPCo Scholarship is specifically designed for Nigerians.

That means applicants compete within a much smaller talent pool while gaining access to world-class education in the United Kingdom.

The programme focuses on high-demand sectors that continue to attract strong employment opportunities both within Nigeria and internationally, including:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Data Science
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Petroleum Geoscience
  • Robotics
  • Marine Engineering
  • Energy Management
  • Engineering Leadership

Graduates from these fields remain highly sought after across the energy, technology, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors.
