Nigeria Police Force Recruitment for Police Constables (2025/2026). The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), in collaboration with the Police Service Commission (PSC), has announced a nationwide recruitment exercise for eligible Nigerians into the rank of Police Constable.
The recruitment is being conducted in line with a directive from the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Qualified candidates who meet the stated criteria are invited to apply.

General Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Nigerian citizen by birth
- Physically and mentally fit
- Free from financial embarrassment or indebtedness
- Of good character
- No criminal record or conviction
- Must present two character referees
- Age requirements:
- General duty applicants: 18–25 years
- Specialist applicants: not above 28 years
- Female applicants must not be pregnant at the point of entry or during training
- Must be free from physical abnormalities such as poor eyesight, flat foot, bow legs, or limb deformities
Minimum Physical Standards (General Duty Applicants):
- Height:
- Males: 1.67 metres
- Females: 1.64 metres
- Male applicants must have a minimum chest measurement of 86 cm
Academic and Professional Qualifications
General Duty Applicants
- GCE O’Level, SSCE, NECO, or equivalent
- Minimum of five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics
- Results obtained in not more than two sittings
Specialist Applicants
- GCE O’Level, SSCE, NECO, or equivalent
- Minimum of four credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics
- Results obtained in not more than two sittings
- At least three years of relevant work experience
- Possession of relevant trade test certificates
