Applications will be accepted from Thursday, October 23, 2025, to Saturday, January 31, 2026.
This initiative is part of the federal government’s ongoing effort to make higher education more accessible and affordable for students across all accredited tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

According to a statement from Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, Director of Strategic Communications at NELFUND, the agency is committed to ensuring a smooth and inclusive loan process for eligible applicants.
All tertiary institutions have been urged to upload and verify student data—both for returning and newly admitted students—on the NELFUND Student Verification Portal, as this step is critical for successful loan approval.
