The only advice I could think of is that no one can really know how you feel. They can try, they can imagine but they can’t be in your shoes, they can’t see it the way you do. And you’ll do yourself a bigger favor if you stop trying to make them understand why you make the choices you make or why you do the things you do.
As long as your morality agrees with it then you don’t need anyones validation because right and wrong doesn’t come in black and white. -

You and Teni have been together for two years and you stated that her family holds functions like this twice a year so you probably must have attended one and I’m sure that must have been quite the opportunity to get to know Teni’s family better and get closer to them. So if after two years of attending this function you were only told just a week before, then I think your presence there doesn’t really change a lot.
And On the other hand, you and your friends don’t get together as often, so I believe you didn’t do wrong by choosing to be with your guys. Although I believe there’s a way you could have made Teni see things from your perspective and understand that you didn’t mean to hurt her. -

<p style=”text-align: left;”>In my opinion, I believe this is a visual representation of the negative effects of social media in our present day. The family behind the man taking a selfie in the image are obviously suffering and the man has appeared to have brought food for them, but at what cost? He would rather take a picture of him posing to help the needy and receive accolades for being a cheerful person whereas there’s nothing cheerful about what he’s doing. He has exploited the poor family all because of social validation.
