: Assignment 1:The apparations. Question 1: discuss the themes of loneliness and dissillusionment in the poem. Answers:The poem apparitions explored the theme of loneliness which is the man focus of the poem and also reflects on aging and the transformation of perception.yeats expresses a preference for solitude and company of a friend who does not judge his incoherence.he also lay emphasis on the paragraph two describing how lonely he was.he says(I have found nothing half so good,as my long planned half solitude where I can’t sit up).he also explained how old age change ones perspective and made him to realized that he is closer to death,yeats also further in his explanations that he experienced apparitions severally, which he sees that too much of isolation also cause it.
Questions 2:how does these devices contribute to the overall mood and message of the poem. Answers: The two devices mentioned is the theme of loneliness and dissillusionment, they are centre idea and main theme of the poem,the poet explained how emotions of being isolated he was, which made him underscores by the apparitions.the poet also explained how reality and illusion represent his imaginative thought,suggesting that as one grow older,reality become increasingly blurred.so,this device trigger his mood to explain how the journey of being solitude and isolated he was.

Participant“The fascination and difficulties”. Questions 1:why does yeats feel that his creative energy has been drained. Answer: The poet explained his frustration and difficulties he passed through when he was running a theatre,when he serve as a manager at Abbey theatre.He was so creative and energetic about his artistics work. he compare his creative spirit to a young horse(colt)that should be full of life and energy.He expresses his frustration with the burdens of running a theatre as one of the Ireland’s most famous poets.yeat felt overwhelmed for being the manager.because during production he face alot of challenges like incompetence and incooperation of the people.so, this make him hate the job that once brought him joy.
yeats also feel worn-out and disappointed with how hard it is to create art, especially while managing the Abbey theatre, instead of feeling inspired and full of energy he felt drained and empty because of the challenges of theatre management have taken away his passion for art.so, at the end yeats expresses a strong desire to Break free from the restrictions that welgh him down,he want to escape the exhausting demand for theatre management and find his creative freedom again.Question 2:Do you think that struggle yeats describe are still relevant for modern artist.why or why not?. Answer:YES,the struggle yeats describe are still relevant for modern artist.because,of incompetence and uncooperation of the people the during production just as yeats have mentioned about the frustration and difficulties he passed through as a creative manager, sometimes incompetence of the artist members can made the manager feel exhausted and irritation.so,all those things yeats describe still relevant and usually occurred in modern artist industry.
