To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a current licence from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
- Possess five (5) O’level credits, obtained in not more than two sittings, including:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- (Plus Physics and Chemistry for candidates who qualified from 2006 onwards)
- Have at least one year of clinical experience after qualification as a Registered Nurse

How to Apply for LUTH Post Basic Nursing Admission
Applications are submitted online. Follow these steps:
- Visit the portal: luth.gov.ng/schools
- Choose your preferred Post Basic Nursing programme
- Fill out the Account Creation Form with accurate personal information and a valid email address
- Check your email for login credentials
- Click on “MAKE PAYMENT” and follow the prompts on Remita
- Use your RRR code to pay the ₦10,000 application fee
- Return to luth.gov.ng/profile to complete your application
- Print your application bio-data form—you’ll need it for the entrance examination
