Programme Overview
The CHO programme is a residential course held at the LUTH Primary Health Care Complex in Pakoto and the main LUTH campus in Idi-Araba, Lagos. It is fully accredited by the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN).
Graduates of the programme are well-prepared to take leadership roles in primary healthcare delivery, supervising teams, managing facilities, and shaping the health of local populations.
Entry Requirements
You are eligible to apply if you meet either of the following qualifications:
- Hold a Diploma in Community Health with at least two (2) years of post-qualification work experience
- Hold a Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW) Certificate with five (5) years of relevant work experience
In addition, all applicants must:
- Be fully registered with CHPRBN
- Possess a valid and current practising licence
These conditions ensure that applicants have the foundational training and field exposure necessary for advanced professional development.
How to Apply for LUTH CHO Admission
The application process is fully online. Follow these steps carefully:
- Visit the application portal: luth.gov.ng/courses
- Select “School of Community Health” from the list of programmes
- Fill in the Account Creation Form using a valid email address
- Check your email inbox for login credentials
- Click “Make Payment” to be redirected to the Remita platform
- Use your RRR code to pay the ₦10,000 application fee
- Log in at luth.gov.ng/profile to complete your application form
- After submission, print out your application bio-data form—you’ll need this for the screening exercise
Deadline
The application deadline is 12 weeks from the publication date. Early submission is strongly advised to allow ample time for exam preparation and document verification.
