LAUTECH Addresses Assault Incident Involving Security Personnel; The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has released an official statement regarding a viral video circulating on social media showing a security officer physically assaulting a student.
According to preliminary findings, the incident occurred on Wednesday, 12th November 2025, at the 1,500 Lecture Theater of the Pre-Degree Science Complex.
The Registrar, Mrs. Olayinka O. Balogun, stated that an official investigation has commenced and assured the university community and the public that the matter is being treated with the utmost seriousness. She emphasized that appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken in accordance with university policies and regulations.
The management reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for students, staff, and visitors, stressing that violence or abuse in any form will not be tolerated.
Students were encouraged to continue attending their classes without fear, as measures have been put in place to prevent a recurrence of such incidents.
