LASU Reopens Online Post-UTME/DE Screening Portal for 2025/2026 Academic Session; The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU) has compassionately approved the reopening of the Online Admission Screening Portal for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates seeking admission into LASU through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME – 100 Level) and Direct Entry (DE). Participation in the online screening exercise is mandatory for admission consideration into any LASU regular undergraduate programme.

Important Notice

Candidates are to note that application is only valid during the screening period.
2.0 Eligibility for LASU Online Screening
i. UTME Candidates
- Must have chosen LASU as First Choice in the 2025 UTME.
- Must have scored a minimum of 195 marks.
- Must be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2025.
ii. Pre-Degree (PDS) Candidates
- Must have completed their programme successfully.
- Must have selected LASU as First Choice in UTME and scored at least 195 marks.
iii. Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
- Must possess a valid DE form obtained from JAMB.
- Must have chosen LASU as First Choice institution.
- Only LASU Diplomas are acceptable for DE (except for NCE into Education-related programmes).
iv. Candidates of Lagos State Origin
- 100 and 200-level applicants must have validated their claims through the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC). Such claims will be automatically validated during screening.

Candidates may only apply to the following accredited courses for which they meet all relevant admission requirements.

3.1 Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates
All DE applicants must immediately submit the following:
- A copy of their Online Screening Report
- A copy of their LASU Diploma or NCE Result
Submission Venue: Admission Annex/Liaison Office, Room 7, Administrative Block II.
4.0 Method of Application
A. Online Payment & Registration Procedure
- Visit: www.lasu.edu.ng
- Navigate to Student > New Applicants
- Click UTME/DE Screening
- Select UTME Candidate Login
- Input UTME Registration Number and Surname
- Click Submit
- Click Make Payment (Admission Screening)
- On the Payment Page:
- Supply JAMB Reg. Number
- Select “Admission Screening Fee”
- Choose Ojo as Campus
- Select Student as Category
- After payment, return to your dashboard
- Click Start Admission Screening
- Complete the bio-data form and provide:
- Transaction ID
- Mode of Entry (UTME/DE)
- Course of choice
- O’Level subjects and grades
- Click Submit and continue
- Corrections/updates require a new payment.
B. Online Self-Screening Form
Step I
Visit: https://lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening
Step II
Login using UTME Reg. Number and Surname. Input your Transaction ID.
Step III
Fill in personal and academic details:
- Names
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- State/LGA of Origin
- Email/Phone Number
- Guardian Info
- Course choice
- UTME Subjects and Grades
- O’Level sittings and results
O’Level Requirements:
- Minimum of Five (5) credits relevant to course of study.
- Medicine and Dentistry: One (1) sitting only.
- Engineering courses (with two sittings): Six (6) credits including Math, Physics, Chemistry, English, and two science subjects.
- Aeronautic/Astronautic Engineering: Credit in Further Mathematics required.
- English Language is compulsory for all courses.
Note: O’Level results must be uploaded on JAMB CAPS before screening deadline. Results obtained after July 2025 are not acceptable.
Step IV
Preview and certify all provided information. Click Continue to finalize.
Step V
Return to the Screening Homepage, input UTME Reg. Number, and click Download Result to get your Screening Report.
C. Screening Grading System
Screening is based on:
- UTME score
- Best five O’Level subjects relevant to the chosen course (as per JAMB brochure: www.jamb.gov.ng or JAMB iBass)
Applicants are strongly advised to consult the JAMB brochure to verify O’Level subject requirements for their chosen course.
Screening Portal Access Period
- Opens: Monday, 4th August 2025
- Closes: Friday, 9th August 2025 (by 12 midnight)
