LASU Clarifies Online Classes Policy – November 2025; The Lagos State University (LASU) Management has addressed misleading reports regarding its blended learning directive. The clarification confirms that:
- Only 197 out of 4,095 courses at LASU are delivered primarily online.
- These are large lectures with over 400 students.
- All other courses, including tutorials, seminars, labs, and smaller classes, remain fully in-person.
Purpose of the Policy
- Improve quality of learning for large-enrolment courses.
- Manage physical resources efficiently.
- Align with NUC guidelines on integrating e-learning.
- Prepare students for digital learning environments.
Support Measures for Students
- Upgraded campus-wide Wi-Fi
- Dedicated ICT hubs
- Reliable on-campus power supply
- Full access to libraries, laboratories, medical and sporting facilities
