General Requirements for Academic Positions
a) Professor:
Minimum of 10 years post-doctoral teaching and research experience in a recognized academic institution with at least 25 publications.
b) Associate Professor/Associate Research Professor:
Minimum of 8 years post-doctoral experience with at least 20 publications.
c) Senior Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow:
At least 6 years post-doctoral experience with a minimum of 15 publications.
d) Lecturer I/Research Fellow I:
At least 3 years post-doctoral experience with 5 publications.
e) Lecturer II/Research Fellow II:
PhD in a relevant field with a minimum of 2 publications.
f) Assistant Lecturer:
M.A., M.Ed., or M.Sc. degree in a relevant discipline, proof of PhD admission, and demonstrated teaching or research potential.
g) O’Level Requirement:
Five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained at not more than two sittings.
h) First Degree Requirement:
At least a Second-Class Lower Division (2:2) degree with NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
i) Professional Membership (for Environmental Sciences):
