Kwara State Polytechnic Academic Calendar for 2025/2026 Session; The Office of the Registrar, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has officially released the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session. The calendar highlights all major academic activities for full-time, part-time, and SIWES students across the three semesters. Students are advised to take note of the dates and plan ahead to ensure a smooth academic year.
First Semester 2025/2026
- Resumption and Registration: All new students, both full-time and part-time, are to resume and begin registration on 6th October 2025.
- Commencement of Lectures: Lectures for both new and returning students (excluding SIWES students) will start on 13th October 2025.
- First Continuous Assessment Test: Scheduled for 27th – 31st October 2025.
- Resumption of SIWES Students: SIWES students will resume and begin lectures on 10th November 2025.
- Second Continuous Assessment Test: To be held from 24th – 28th November 2025.
- Christmas and New Year Break: From 22nd December 2025 – 5th January 2026.
- Orientation Programme: For new students, from 12th – 14th January 2026.
- Matriculation Ceremony: Scheduled for 15th January 2026.
- End of Lectures: All lectures will end on 16th February 2026.
- First Semester Examinations: Both CBT and written examinations will run from 17th February – 13th March 2026.
- Semester Break: From 16th – 27th March 2026.
- Deadline for Submission of Scores: 27th March 2026.
Second Semester 2025/2026
- Resumption and Commencement of Lectures: All students resume on 30th March 2026, and lectures start the same day.
- First Continuous Assessment Test: Scheduled for 20th – 24th April 2026.
- Second Continuous Assessment Test: To be conducted from 19th – 22nd May 2026.
- End of Lectures: Lectures will end on 26th June 2026.
- SUG Week: To take place from 29th June – 3rd July 2026.
- Second Semester Examinations: From 6th – 24th July 2026.
- SIWES Activities Begin: 17th August 2026.
- Deadline for Submission of Scores: 31st July 2026.
- Consideration of Sessional and Diploma Results: 21st September 2026.
Third Semester 2025/2026 (Part-Time Students Only)
- Resumption and Lectures: Part-time students resume on 17th August 2026, with lectures commencing immediately.
- End of Lectures: 2nd October 2026.
- Third Semester Examinations: To be held from 12th – 23rd October 2026.
- Deadline for Submission of Scores: 6th November 2026.
- Consideration of Sessional and Diploma Results: 9th – 13th November 2026.
