Kwara State College Of Arabic And Islamic Legal Studies ( CAILS ) gets acting provost; Dr. Sa’ad Hadi, formerly the Deputy Provost Administration, has been appointed as the Acting Provost of Kwara State College of Arabic And Islamic Legal Studies (KWCAILS), Ilorin.

This appointment was made public by the College Registrar, Mallam Afolabi Suleiman (MNIM), following the conclusion of Dr. Olokoba Abdullahi Ayinla’s term as the outgoing Provost on September 28, 2023, during the College Academic Board Meeting.
The decision to appoint Dr. Sa’ad Hadi as the Acting Provost was in accordance with the approval of the Kwara State Government, as conveyed through the College’s parent Ministry, the State Ministry of Tertiary Education (MOTE).
Dr. Sa’ad Hadi will oversee the College’s affairs until the Kwara State Government establishes the Governing Council for the College and appoints a substantive Provost.
Dr. Sa’ad Hadi’s credentials include serving as the Head of the Department of History, two terms as the Dean of the School of Art and Islamic Studies, and holding the positions of Deputy Provost Academic and Deputy Provost Administration at the College.
He earned his first and second degrees in History from the University of Ilorin in 1991 and 2000, respectively. He later obtained his Ph.D. in History from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 2015, after joining the College as an Assistant Lecturer in 1995.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hadi has actively participated in numerous local and international conferences, authored several journal articles, contributed to book chapters and publications, and received various awards and distinctions.
Dr. Hadi is known for his dedication, support for the younger generation, collaborative spirit, commitment to staff welfare, and sociable personality. He is a devoted Muslim, happily married, and blessed with children.
