SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES
KSP has newly approved Higher National Diploma (HND) courses for the 2023/2024 admission in Science Laboratory Technology with an option in Microbiology.
SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY
The Higher National Diploma program in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology offers two options:
a. Power/Machines Option
b. Electronics and Telecommunications Option
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES
For the Higher National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology (Microbiology Option), candidates must have a National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology with a minimum Lower Credit (CGPA) of 2.50. Additionally, they should have five credits in O/Level subjects (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) obtained in not more than two sittings.
Compulsory credit level subjects include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. Another Science subject and a Social Science subject should also be credited. Candidates need to complete one year of compulsory Industrial Training or possess a pass in the ND result with two years of compulsory Industrial Training.
Submission of ND Transcript is required for admission into all HND programs.
SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY
Candidates applying for the Higher National Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology with either the Power/Machines or Electronics and Telecommunications option must hold a National Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology with a minimum Lower Credit (CGPA) of 2.50.
They should also have five O/Level credits in subjects (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) taken in not more than two sittings. Required credit level subjects include English Language, Mathematics, and Physics, as well as any two subjects from Chemistry, Metalwork, Technical-Drawing, Basic Electronics, and Geography.
Candidates are expected to complete one year of compulsory Industrial Training or possess a pass in the ND result with two years of compulsory Industrial Training. ND Transcript submission is mandatory for admission into all HND programs.
METHOD OF APPLICATION:
Qualified candidates can access the application form through the school portal at https://portal.kogistatepolytechnic.edu.ng. Applicants are advised to generate two different RRR numbers for the Admission form and the screening fee through the school portal and make the payment as follows:
Admission Form Fee: N10,000.00
Screening fee: N5,000.00
Total = N15,000.00
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- All applicants must process and submit their Academic transcripts within four (4) weeks from the date of this advertisement.
- The hard copy of credentials must be submitted at the Polytechnic Admission office on or before the closing date of the form.
- The deadline for the submission of completed forms is six weeks from the date of this advertisement (18th August 2023), and no extension will be granted.
- HND applicants who sign up without payment will not be considered for admission.
