Postgraduate Admission Requirements
1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD):
- O’Level: Five credits including English Language and Mathematics in a maximum of two sittings.
- Bachelor’s Degree: Minimum of Third Class from a recognized university.
- Related Degree: Candidates with Second Class (Lower Division) in an unrelated field may be considered.
- HND: Lower Credit from a recognized polytechnic in a related field.
- Exclusion: Those with a Pass in Bachelor’s Degree or HND will not be considered.
2. Professional Master’s Programmes:
- O’Level: Five credits, including English and Mathematics, in a maximum of two sittings.
- First Degree: Minimum Second Class (Lower Division) in a relevant field from KASU or other recognized universities.
- Third Class/HND: A Third Class Degree or HND plus PGD with a CGPA of 3.50 may also be accepted.
3. Academic Master’s Programmes:
- O’Level: Five credits, including English and Mathematics, in a maximum of two sittings.
- First Degree: A minimum CGPA of 3.0 for Science, Computing, and Engineering; Second Class (Lower Division) for other disciplines.
- Postgraduate Diploma: CGPA of at least 3.50 for PGD candidates.
4. MPhil/PhD Programmes:
- O’Level: Five credits including English Language and Mathematics in a maximum of two sittings.
- First Degree: Second Class (Lower Division) in a relevant field.
- Master’s Degree: An Academic Master’s Degree with a CGPA below PhD requirements.
5. Doctorate Degree Programmes:
- O’Level: Five credits including English Language and Mathematics in a maximum of two sittings.
- First Degree: Second Class (Lower Division) in a relevant field.
- Master’s Degree: CGPA of 4.00 in Sciences and 3.50 for other disciplines.
- Research Proposal: A 1000-1500 word research proposal to be uploaded during application.
Application Process
- Visit the KASU Portal: Go to the KASU Application Portal.
- Processing Fee: N10,000 for Nigerians, $20 for non-Nigerians.
- Create a Profile: Enter your details to create a profile and receive a username and password.
- Fill Application Form: Log in and complete the online application form.
- Submit Transcripts: Candidates must submit academic transcripts and originals of credentials upon admission.
