The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will begin releasing the results of the 2023 UTME on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. This disclosure was made in the minutes of an emergency management meeting held in Abuja over the weekend.

The board explained that the delay in the release of the results was due to the need to ensure that all necessary screening processes were completed. In addition, candidates who faced challenges during the examination without realizing it would not be able to see their results but would be notified of a rescheduled examination.
Moreover, JAMB has scheduled mop-up examinations for three categories of candidates who missed their examinations. These categories include those who were verified at their centers but could not sit the exam, those who could not be biometrically verified, and those with mismatched data.
Furthermore, the Board has decided to conduct the rescheduled examination on Saturday, May 6, 2023, for all the aforementioned categories of candidates who have not yet taken their examinations. JAMB urged all candidates who took the examination to check their results on or before Thursday, May 8, 2023.
