JAMB Registers 1.6 million UTME Candidates -Direct Entry Registration Begins; According to a recent update on the JAMB UTME registration process, nearly 1.6 million students have so far enrolled for the 2023 exam. This was disclosed by the Board’s Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, at the conclusion of a joint monitoring exercise with Mr. David Adejo, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education, on Monday in Abuja.

After the deadline on February 22, 2023, the entire number of applicants who have registered is anticipated to be disclosed.
Oloyede added that the Direct Entry registration process started on February 20th, Monday. The registration process and related information are exactly what JAMB had previously stated in the UTME/DE registration announcement.
The Registrar added that the monitoring activity had helped identify 15 suspects who were attempting to cheat the system and that the suspects had been caught and were being held at the time.
The JAMB exam will take place on April 29th, 2023, and last through May 12 on a Monday.
