JAMB Delists 5 CBT Centers/ Arrests 27 Impersonators; The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially delisted five Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers from participating in the ongoing 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to JAMB, these centres failed to meet the required technical standards necessary for a smooth conduct of the examination.
The Affected CBT Centres
The centres removed from the 2025 UTME are:
- Adventure Associate, Behind Sheshe Supermarket, Off Hadejia Road, Kano, Kano State
- Saadatu Rimi College of Education, Zaria Road, Naibawa, Kano, Kano State
- Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 2, 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal
- Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 1, 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal
- Soronara Ventures Nigeria Limited, Foundation Road, Umudagu Mbieri, Mbaitoli, Imo State
What Candidates Assigned to These Centres Must Do
Candidates who had selected any of the affected centres are required to reprint their examination notification slips immediately.
Reprinting the slip will reveal their new examination centre and rescheduled exam date.
Important:
Failure to reprint the updated slip will not be accepted as an excuse for missing the examination.

As of 25 April 2025, more than 900,000 candidates had successfully completed the 2025 UTME.
A total of 2,083,600 candidates registered for this year’s examination.
Action Taken Against Impersonators
JAMB also reported that it has apprehended 27 impersonators during the examination process.
All individuals caught have been handed over to the Nigeria Police for prosecution.
Clarification on the Caleb University Incident

JAMB addressed an incident at Caleb University where some candidates wearing hijabs were allegedly prevented from entering the examination venue.
Investigations revealed that the action was carried out by a security officer acting independently, without authorization.
The Vice-Chancellor of Caleb University publicly condemned the incident, and corrective measures were taken immediately to ensure that no candidate was deprived of the opportunity to sit for the exam.
JAMB extended its apologies to the affected candidates and assured that leadership at both the centre and the university acted swiftly to remedy the situation.
JAMB’s Firm Warning to All CBT Centres
While commending the 883 centres that performed excellently, JAMB reiterated a strict warning:
Any CBT centre that fails to comply with technical or ethical guidelines will be blacklisted, regardless of the centre’s ownership or affiliations.
Once blacklisted, no Center will be spared based on who owns it.
