The respected dictionary revised its definition of man and woman to include those who might not identify with the sex with which they were born.

The definition of a man has changed recently to read, “an adult who lives and identifies as a male even though they may have been said to have a different sex at birth,” according to the online dictionary.
In the same context, “an adult who lives and identifies as female even though they may have been considered to have a different sex at birth” is now the definition of a woman.
Since the change, the online lexicon has come under heavy fire from internet users who claim it is interfering in sociopolitical matters.
The LGBTQ+ community, on the other side, has praised the development and claims that it would help the community become more widely known.
