IMAP Announces Maiden Summer Programme for 2025/2026 Academic Session; The Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic (IMAP), Lafia, Nasarawa State, has announced its maiden Summer Programme, also known as the Third Semester, for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The programme is designed for students who have outstanding failed courses from the First or Second Semester examinations of the current academic session.
Who Can Participate in the IMAP Summer Programme?
The Summer Programme is open to students who have failed courses from the First or Second Semester examinations of the 2025/2026 academic session.
However, the programme is strictly for outstanding failed courses. Students cannot use the Summer Programme to retake a course they have already passed.
The programme will be coordinated by IMAP Consult Limited in accordance with the guidelines approved by the Academic Board.
The Summer Programme will run for six weeks, comprising:
- Four weeks of lectures, revision and academic engagement.
- Two weeks of examinations.
IMAP Summer Programme Fees
Students participating in the programme are required to make payments through the approved Polytechnic payment channels.
The applicable charges are:
- 50% of the school fees for the 2025/2026 academic session.
- ₦5,000 for each failed course or paper registered.
Students are advised to use only verified and approved payment channels when making payments for the programme.
IMAP Summer Programme Schedule
The Polytechnic has released the following timeline for the maiden Summer Programme:

Examination Rules for the Summer Programme
The Summer Programme examinations will be conducted in accordance with the academic regulations of the Polytechnic.
Grades obtained through the programme will replace the previously failed grades in the students’ official academic records.
Students should therefore ensure that they comply with all examination and academic requirements throughout the programme.
Directives to Participating Students
Students intending to participate in the Summer Programme are expected to follow the Polytechnic’s directives.
They should:
- Confirm their outstanding failed courses before registration.
- Register only courses they are eligible to retake under the programme.
- Make payments through verified and approved Polytechnic channels.
- Attend the scheduled lectures and revision sessions.
- Sit for the examinations according to the published timetable.
- Avoid unofficial agents and unverified third parties.
Students are advised to rely on official Polytechnic information and approved channels for registration, payment and other matters relating to the Summer Programme.
The maiden Summer Programme is scheduled to begin with registration and course finalisation from 19 October 2026, while the results are expected to be released on Friday, 11 December 2026.
