Duration of Programmes: 6 Semesters in 24 Calendar Months
General Requirements for HND Full-Time and ODFEL Programmes:
- National Diploma not below Lower Credit (with CGPA not less than 2.50) and basic requirements for the National Diploma Programme in the applicant’s discipline.
- Possession of the specific SSSCE requirements (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/GCE O’Level) for the programme applied for.
- Good performance in the screening exercise conducted by the Polytechnic.
- Minimum of One Calendar Year Post National Diploma relevant Industrial Experience.
- Candidate’s National Diploma academic transcript should be sent by the ND awarding Institution (for candidates who did not finish from The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro) under Confidential Cover to: The Registrar, The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro. Admitted candidates will not be registered until the ND academic transcript is received.
Entrance Examination: ILAROPOLY Releases HND/ODFEL Admission Form For 2023/2024
Entrance examination dates for all HND Full-Time programmes will be announced later on the institution’s website and via the applicant’s personal email addresses.
Method of Application for Admission:
Candidates seeking admission into The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro are required to complete the institution’s Application Form available online at http://federalpolyilaro.edu.ng/ starting from Monday, 10th July 2023. The closing date for completing the application form is Friday, 18th August 2023.
Important Information:
- All candidates should consult the institution’s Prospectus on the website or in hard copy to ensure they meet the qualifications for the programmes they are applying for.
- Candidates must not register for programmes they do not meet the requirements for, as admission is provisional and may be withdrawn if discrepancies are discovered.
- The application process should be completed through the institutional portal, and candidates must upload clear and readable copies of their credentials and testimonials/letters of recommendation in PDF format.
- Valid personal phone numbers and email addresses should be provided on the application forms for communication purposes.
- The invoice and RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference) must be obtained in the applicant’s name through the institutional portal. All transactions must be processed on the Remita platform.
- The names used by applicants must correspond with the names in their WAEC/NECO and JAMB documents. Any discrepancies are not acceptable for admission.
- All entrance examinations will be computer-based, and further details will be communicated at a later time.
