Igbajo Polytechnic Opens 2026/2027 HND Admission Application; Igbajo Polytechnic has commenced the sale of its Higher National Diploma admission form for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The institution also announced that the National Youth Service Corps has approved mobilisation for graduates of its HND programmes, an update that may interest prospective applicants seeking NYSC eligibility after graduation.
About Igbajo Polytechnic HND Admission
Igbajo Polytechnic is located in Boluwaduro Local Government Area of Osun State and is recognised as Nigeria’s first community-owned polytechnic.
The institution is accredited by the National Board for Technical Education and has invited qualified candidates to apply for admission into its HND programmes through the official application portal.
Igbajo Polytechnic HND Courses
Qualified applicants can apply for any of the following Higher National Diploma programmes:
- SLT Microbiology Option
- SLT Physics Electronics Option
- SLT Biochemistry Option
- Computer Science
- Accountancy
- Business Administration and Management
- Statistics
The institution stated that only NBTE-accredited programmes are available for admission.
Igbajo Polytechnic HND Entry Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A National Diploma certificate from Igbajo Polytechnic or another government-approved polytechnic
- A minimum of Lower Credit with one year Industrial Training experience
Candidates with a Pass grade may also be considered after completing two years of Industrial Training.
Applicants must also have five O’level credit passes in:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Three other relevant subjects
Accepted O’level results include:
- WAEC
- NECO
- NABTEB
- GCE O’Level
The required credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
Important Points Applicants Should Note
Candidates are advised to carefully study the admission requirements for their chosen programme before completing the form.
The polytechnic also advised applicants to:
- Fill the form personally without third-party assistance
- Carefully arrange names, examination details and Industrial Training dates correctly
- Keep scratch cards safely, as lost cards will require another purchase
Industrial Training requirements include:
- Lower Credit candidates: Minimum of 12 months IT after ND certification
- Pass candidates: Minimum of 24 months IT after ND certification
Igbajo Polytechnic HND Form Fee
The HND application form costs ₦9,500.
Applicants are advised to use a valid and active email address during registration.
How to Apply for Igbajo Polytechnic HND Form
New applicants should begin the process through the Igbajo Polytechnic application portal.
Returning applicants who already created accounts can continue through the application login page.
The application process will only be considered complete after all required documents have been uploaded.
Required documents include:
- Birth certificate
- WAEC or NECO result
- ND result
- Industrial Training letter
- Sponsorship letter from parents
Accepted upload formats are:
- JPEG
- PNG
Each uploaded file must not exceed 100KB.
The institution also stated that original copies of uploaded documents will be verified during screening.
Submission of Completed Forms
Applicants are expected to print the completed application form and submit it during the screening exercise.
The printed form must be accompanied by:
- Three photocopies of credentials
- Three photocopies of birth certificate or sworn affidavit
- Four passport photographs
- Photocopy of original payment receipt
The polytechnic warned that incomplete applications will not be considered.
Igbajo Polytechnic HND Screening Exercise
The screening date for HND applicants will be announced later by the institution.
Candidates who have not completed the application process before screening may still apply during the screening period.
Applicants are expected to attend screening with:
- O’level results
- Three photocopies of credentials
- Industrial Training letter
- ND result

- Candidates with Pass grades may still be considered after two years of Industrial Training
