Scholarship Awards Eligibility
To be eligible for the Ekiti State Government Scholarship Award, applicants must:
- Be in at least their 2nd year of study.
- Hold a WASSCE/NECO certificate with at least five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in one sitting.
- Have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 for university students, 3.50 for polytechnic students, and 3.50 for NCE students.
- For Master’s and Ph.D. applicants, a 2nd Class Upper Division at the undergraduate level is required. Ph.D. applicants must also have a distinction in their Master’s Degree, along with a letter of recommendation from the Head of Department.
Physically challenged students enrolled in universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and schools of nursing/midwifery are eligible for the Handicapped Scholarship Award.
Note: Part-time and sandwich students are not eligible for this award.
Bursary Awards Eligibility
All students in undergraduate programs, polytechnics, colleges of education, and health institutions are eligible for the Ekiti State Government Bursary Award.
Application Process
Eligible students can apply by obtaining free application forms from the Ekiti State Scholarship Board at the New Secretariat in Ado-Ekiti. Applications can also be submitted online via the Ekiti State Scholarship Board application portal.
Application Period
The application period runs from 1st September to 31st October 2024. Late applications will not be accepted.
