Degree Levels and Duration

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Citizenship: Non-Chinese citizens in good health.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Master’s Applicants: Bachelor’s degree with excellent academic performance, under 35 years of age.
- Doctoral Applicants: Master’s degree or above, under 40 years of age.
- Language Proficiency:
- For Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 or above.
- For English-taught programs:
- Native English speakers: No additional requirement.
- Non-native speakers: IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 86 and above.
Application Process
- Online Application:
- Register on both the Chinese Government Scholarship Management System (CSC System) (Type: Category B; Henan university agency Code: 10475) and the Henan University Online System (Henan University Online Application).
- Complete and upload all required documents.
- Ensure accuracy in all submitted information, including passport details and contact information.
- Preliminary Review: The School of International Education (SIE), Henan University, will assess eligibility, academic background, and language proficiency.
- Academic Review: Henan University experts will evaluate applicants’ academic performance, research abilities, and development potential.
- Recommendation to the China Scholarship Council: Qualified candidates will be recommended for final review.
- Final Selection: The China Scholarship Council will conduct the final review and select the best candidates.
- Admission Notification: Successful applicants will receive their admission results, the “Admission Notice”, and “Visa Application for Study in China” (JW201 Form) by July 2025.
