Gombe State University Secures NUC Approval for 9 Degree Programmes in the Faculty of Agriculture; The management of Gombe State University (GOMSU) is pleased to announce that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full approval for the commencement of degree programmes in the Faculty of Agriculture starting from the 2025/2026 academic session.
This milestone marks a significant expansion of the university’s academic offerings and its commitment to advancing agricultural education in Nigeria.

Approved Degree Programmes in the Faculty of Agriculture

The newly approved programmes include:
- B. Agriculture
- B.Sc. Fisheries and Aquaculture
- B.Sc. Forestry Resource and Wildlife Management
- B.Sc. Animal Science
- B.Sc. Soil Science
- B.Sc. Agricultural Economics
- B.Sc. Agricultural Extension
- B.Sc. Crop Science
- B.Sc. Horticulture and Landscape Management
Admission Requirements and Application Guidelines
Candidates who have:
- Applied for admission into Gombe State University
- Met the required admission criteria
- Scored 150 points or above in UTME with the relevant subject combinations
and are interested in transferring to or enrolling in the Faculty of Agriculture are encouraged to change their course through the JAMB Admission Portal.
