GMKCHST Admission List for 2026/2027 Academic Session; Galtima Mai Kyari College of Health Sciences and Technology (GMKCHST), Nguru, Yobe State, has released its admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Candidates who participated in the admission screening exercise can now check their admission status to determine whether they have been offered provisional admission.

- Visit the JAMB e-Facility portal.
- Log in using your JAMB username and password.
- Select “Check Admission Status”.
- Select “Access my CAPS”.
- Open “Admission Status” to view your GMKCHST Nguru admission decision.
Candidates should carefully check the status displayed on their JAMB CAPS profile.
JAMB CAPS Admission Status Meanings
JAMB CAPS may display different admission responses while an application is being processed. The status shown determines the current stage of the candidate’s admission.
Admission Offered
If the status shows “Admission Offered”, it means JAMB has approved the candidate’s admission.
Candidates who receive this status can proceed to accept or reject the admission offer through the stated JAMB channels.
Admission in Progress
“Admission in Progress”, also displayed as AIP, means GMKCHST Nguru has reviewed the candidate’s application and recommended the candidate for admission.
However, the recommendation is still awaiting further approval and review by JAMB.
Candidates with this status should continue checking their CAPS profile for an update.
Recommended
The “Recommended” status means that the institution has considered the candidate for admission and the application is awaiting JAMB’s review against the required admission criteria.
The candidate should continue monitoring the CAPS portal for the final decision.
Not Admitted
If CAPS displays “Not Admitted”, it means the candidate has not yet been selected for admission.
This response may appear if the relevant admission list has not yet been released or if the candidate’s application is still under review.
Candidates should continue checking their admission status where applicable.
Pending
A “Pending” status means that the candidate’s application is still being reviewed and a final admission decision has not yet been made.
Candidates with a pending status should continue to monitor JAMB CAPS for further updates.
How to Accept or Reject GMKCHST Admission
Candidates who have been offered admission are required to accept or reject the offer through biometrics at an approved JAMB CBT centre or through SMS.
Candidates who wish to use the CBT centre option can locate an approved centre through the approved JAMB CBT centre guide.
For the SMS option, the candidate should send:

REJECT
to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number registered with JAMB.
The registered phone line should have up to ₦50 on the main airtime balance. The stated process does not charge borrowed airtime or Xtra Credit.
Candidates should ensure that they send the correct response depending on whether they intend to accept or reject the admission offer.
JAMB Admission Letter After Acceptance
Candidates who accept their admission offer can proceed to print their JAMB admission letter.
Printing the JAMB admission letter comes after the candidate has accepted the admission offer.
JAMB CAPS Access on a Mobile Phone
Some candidates accessing JAMB CAPS on a mobile phone may see only the CAPS welcome message without immediately seeing the Admission Status option.
Candidates using Google Chrome can open the browser menu and select “Request desktop site”. This allows the full CAPS page to be displayed.
Once the desktop version loads, candidates can access the Admission Status option and check their admission decision.
