Objective
FUTA Admission Application for University Advanced Basic Science (UABS), 2023/2024
The objective of this program is to prepare students for admission into 200 level courses at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, and other universities in Nigeria through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Direct Entry process. It also provides opportunities for admission to universities worldwide.
Admission Requirements
Candidates should possess a minimum of five credit passes at O/L (WAEC/GCE/NECO/NABTEB) in not more than two sittings. These credits should include English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, and Geography. All candidates must have credit passes in English and Mathematics, as well as three other subjects relevant to their chosen discipline.
Upon completion of the UABS program, successful candidates are admitted into the 200 level undergraduate program at FUTA, other universities in Nigeria, and selected universities abroad through CIE, IJMBE, and JUPEB.
Mode of Study
The UABS program will be conducted on a full-time basis.
Duration
The UABS program will run for one academic session, consisting of two semesters.
