FUTA Achieves Full NUC Accreditation for 18 Programmes 2024. The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation status to eighteen programmes at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA). This accreditation follows an assessment exercise conducted by the NUC between October and November 2023.

Accreditation Details

The accreditation process was communicated to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, by the Acting Director of Accreditation at the NUC, Engineer Abraham Chundusu, who signed on behalf of the Acting Executive Secretary, Mr. Chris Maiyaki.

The notification highlighted the NUC’s mandate to set and accredit Minimum Academic Standards for all programmes in Nigerian universities, as per Section 10 (1) of the Education (National Minimum Standard and Establishment of Institutions) Act CAP E3, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
