FUOYE Clarifies School Fee Receipt Requirements for Lectures

FUOYE Clarifies School Fee Receipt Requirements for Lectures. The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has responded to recent claims on social media suggesting that new students must present school fee receipts before being allowed into lecture halls. These claims are incorrect and misleading.

FUOYE reaffirms its dedication to providing quality education without imposing unnecessary restrictions on students. There is no policy in place that requires the presentation of school fee receipts as a condition for attending lectures.

Course Registration and Payment

Students are required to complete course registration and pay their fees to ensure proper academic tracking and resource allocation. However, attending lectures is not dependent on presenting fee receipts. The registration process helps the institution monitor students’ academic progress but does not restrict lecture hall access.

While students are expected to register for courses and settle their fees, these steps are meant to streamline academic operations, not to limit access to education.

Student Welfare and Support

FUOYE’s Vice-Chancellor has shown strong support for student welfare through various initiatives. Recently, a sensitization programme was held to inform students about NELfund loan opportunities, with officials from relevant organizations, including national student leadership, in attendance.

Students who encounter issues related to these rumours are encouraged to report them to the Student Affairs division. The university remains committed to resolving concerns promptly and maintaining fairness within the academic environment.

Upholding the integrity of FUOYE is a shared responsibility, and ensuring smooth academic processes continues to be a top priority for the institution.
