FUOTUOKE Senior Staff Recruitment – 2025/2026. The Federal University Otuoke (FUOTUOKE), Bayelsa State, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following senior staff vacancies:
- Director of Health Services
- Chief Legal Officer
- Deputy Director, Public Relations

About FUOTUOKE
Established in 2011 by an Act of Parliament, FUOTUOKE runs full-time and part-time programmes for over 17,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. The university employs over 2,000 staff across academic, administrative, and support roles.
Available Positions and Requirements
1. Director of Health Services
- Qualifications: MBBS, BDS, or equivalent medical degree; Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (or equivalent). A higher degree is an added advantage.
- Licensing: Must be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years post-qualification in clinical medicine and public health in similar health institutions.
- Other Requirements:
- NYSC discharge certificate or evidence of exemption.
- SSCE/NECO/WASSC/GCE credits in five (5) subjects, including English and Mathematics.
- ICT competence.
- Must not be older than 60 years at the time of assumption of duty.
- Terms: Salary and benefits in line with Federal University Directors of Health Services guidelines and Senior Staff Conditions of Service (2023).
2. Chief Legal Officer
- Qualifications: LL.B and BL from a recognised university and Nigerian Law School.
- Experience: Minimum 12 years post-call experience to the Nigerian Bar.
- Other Requirements:
- NYSC certificate or exemption.
- SSCE/NECO/WASSC/GCE credits in five (5) subjects, including English and Mathematics.
- Compliance with Senior Staff Conditions of Service (2023).
3. Deputy Director, Public Relations
- Qualifications: Good honours degree in Mass Communication, English Studies, or related Humanities/Social Sciences course.
- Experience: Minimum 12 years relevant work experience.
- Professional Membership: Registered with the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
- Other Requirements:
- NYSC certificate or exemption.
- SSCE/NECO/WASSC/GCE credits in five (5) subjects, including English and Mathematics.
- Compliance with Senior Staff Conditions of Service (2023).
