According to the university, the first batch has filled its approved admission quota of 2,700 candidates. The institution is now seeking approval to admit additional students.

Candidates can check the FUNATO first-batch admission list for information on the released admission offers.

FUNATO Seeks NUC Approval for Additional Admission Places

FUNATO disclosed that it had formally written to the National Universities Commission (NUC) to request approval for additional admission places.

As part of the process, a resource verification visit is expected to take place on Thursday to assess the university’s capacity to accommodate more candidates.

The university stated that it expects an outcome within two days of the visit. Once the process is concluded, the institution will notify the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) of the outcome.

Any additional admission offers will depend on the necessary approvals from the relevant authorities.

What Prospective FUNATO Students Should Know

The university acknowledged concerns among applicants who are still waiting for admission decisions for the 2026/2027 academic session.

FUNATO said it was working to meet the 31 October deadline for concluding admissions while continuing to pursue the approvals required to offer admission to more candidates.

Applicants who have not yet received admission offers are encouraged to remain patient while the university completes the process.

Candidates should note that the release of additional admission offers is not guaranteed, as further admissions depend on the outcome of the resource verification exercise and the required regulatory approvals.

Prospective students are advised to monitor the university’s admission updates for further information on additional admission offers.
