- Must have at least fifteen years of relevant experience, preferably within a university or higher education institution
Rank and Research Record
- Must have attained the rank of Deputy Librarian or Professor of Library Science in a university
- Must have a strong record of research and publications in reputable journals
- Must demonstrate proven administrative leadership
Professional Membership and Computer Skills
- Must be a registered member of the Library Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN)
- Must be computer literate and proficient in relevant computer applications
Age Limit
- Must not be above 60 years of age as of 2 July 2026
