Fountain University Gets 4 New NUC Accreditations
Osogbo, June 16, 2023 – Fountain University is pleased to announce that the Nigerian University Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to all four Programmes offered by the College of Basic Medical and Health Science. The accredited Programmes include Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, and Environmental Health Science.
This significant achievement comes after a thorough evaluation conducted by the NUC’s accreditation panel during their recent visit. The panel meticulously assessed the university’s programme curricula, faculty, and infrastructure, leading to the official accreditation of the four Programmes.
Upon receiving the news, Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim, the Vice Chancellor of Fountain University, expressed her delight, stating, “We are thrilled by the NUC’s recognition of our commitment to delivering high-quality education in the field of Basic Medical and Health Science. This accomplishment is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty, students, and staff. Our aim is to continually enhance our academic offerings and maintain our position as a leading institution in the region.”
Prof. Karim further emphasized that the accreditation would ensure that graduates from the College of Basic Medical Health and Environmental Science are acknowledged and competitive in their respective fields, making significant contributions to the nation’s medical and environmental sectors.
