I am on 2 movies at this point, well one movie one series
:
Set in early 1990s Los Angeles, the film follows Deputy Sheriff Joe “Deke” Deacon (Washington), a once-promising detective whose career derailed after a traumatic case. When he’s sent to L.A. on a routine evidence pickup, he gets pulled into a new investigation led by young, ambitious detective Jim Baxter (Malek) — a string of grisly murders eerily reminiscent of Deke’s past.
As the two men chase their prime suspect, Albert Sparma (Leto), a creepy and unsettling loner, the film blurs the line between justice and obsession. What begins as a murder hunt evolves into a haunting study of guilt, morality, and how the smallest choices — the “little things” — can destroy lives.
